Mission Statement
In July 2003 the Western New York Chapter of Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy was formed.
We are dedicated to eradicating Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
Our Goals
- To save the lives of individuals afflicted with SMA, the number one genetic killer of infants under the age of two.
- To help families cope with SMA through information and support.
- To fund research through corporate donations, community fundraisers, government lobbying.
- To bring awareness to the public and private organizations about SMA.
